Kayla is a native of Pittsburgh, PA and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2013. Her love for veterinary medicine started when her heart dog, Zoey, was diagnosed with lymphoma at a young age and treated with chemotherapy and radiation from 2016-2018. She returned to school and obtained an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from VTI- Pittsburgh in February, 2019. She found her passion working in the oncology department at PVSEC until 2023, when she transitioned to living in the mountains with her husband and family. She has been working in general practice since, and is loving being with the Alpha family!
In her free time she enjoys running, being with family, and experiencing new wineries. She has an 11 year old pit-mix named Gracie, a bloodhound puppy named Honeybee and two cats, Cousin Eddie and Sugar.
